International Tour - Part 2/2 - Mostoles International Cup - 1/2 U8's

We left Barcelona towards Madrid where we met the U8's and the rest of the Finta Family . For some of them it was the first ever international tour and also first tournament of this level .

The idea of bringing the U8's was purely exposing them to real futsal and the atmosphere that the Mostoles Cup brings with Full stadiums , vuvuzelas , drums and a very loud environment.

It was an incredible experience and we could notice the progress from day to day 4 in their confidence , understanding and team bonding .

Game one was against the eventual champions Equipe Sport from Zaragoza . Our boys fought hard but were no match to the Spaniards . Very organised defensively and with a lot of quality in attack Equipe Sport won the match 3-1 .

We were placed in a very good group . Day 2 saw us play the other finalists Ciudad de Toledo . We have improved from day 1 and created lots more chances . We were more focused and played better futsal . Unfortunately it wasn't enough and the final score was Ciudad de Toledo 4-2 Finta .

Last Game of the group was against Rayo San Fernando . We had the objective of winning 1 game at least . It was a good game and probably Finta's best out of the 3 . We created a lot more chances than the opponents and for the first time in the tournament played the way we learn at home . Keeping possession , passing , being confident etc . Unfortunately it did not go our way and the final result was Rayo 3-2 Finta .

I could see big progress from day 1 to the last day of the tour . Spending time with the U12's and watching them play has been a massive help for the boys . We are definetely more aware of the game now and we know were we stand in comparison to top clubs in Spain and it's not very far . All our games were competitive and it could have gone a different way . We had a training session last night and I could feel the boys a lot more experienced .
